Robert Anthony “Tony” Lewis, 62, a lifelong resident of Seymour, IN, passed away on Friday, February 13, 2026, at Columbus Regional Hospital. He was born on October 13, 1963, to Robert Larry and Kay (Cobbs) Lewis.
A 1982 Seymour High School graduate, Tony was a respected local businessman. He began his career working alongside his father before becoming the dedicated owner and operator of Kar Kwik Automotive, serving the community for most of his life until his retirement in 2024. Tony was a proud member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
He will be remembered for his many passions, including his family, friends, cars, collecting, fishing, and golf. During college basketball season, he was a devoted Kansas Jayhawks fan, and his friends knew not to interrupt the game. Described as the life of the party and the nicest guy in the room, Tony’s warm presence will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.
Tony is survived by his sister, Stacy (Christie Moore) Lewis; nephew and niece, Tommy and Elena Moore; Karen’s children, Joshua A. Voss, Laura A. Kreinhagen, and Trevor A. Kreinhagen; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved Karen Kreinhagen.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the Burkholder Chapel of Thorne Family Funeral Homes, with burial at Hayden Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
