TEMPE, Ariz. — An urgent search is underway for 32-year-old Michael Bayne, whose sudden disappearance has left his family and friends deeply concerned. The Tempe resident was last seen on a neighbor’s security camera walking through his apartment complex near Scottsdale Road and Mesquite Circle on the morning of Monday, February 16.

According to his sister, Brittany Bayne, it is completely out of character for Michael to vanish without contact. The concern intensified when he failed to report to work, prompting his family to file an official missing person’s report with Tempe Police. Authorities confirmed a detective will be assigned to review the case.

“There’s something not right,” Brittany stated, noting that while no foul play was evident at his residence, critical items are missing. Michael’s wallet was left behind, but his car and cellphone are gone. His medical condition heightens the worry, as he requires insulin for diabetes.

A potential clue emerged when his phone pinged in Mesa near McKellips Road and Country Club Drive on Tuesday. However, a search of that area by loved ones yielded no sign of him. The family is now pleading with the public for any information that could help locate Michael Bayne and ensure his safe return.
