Max Tzul Death,Holy Family Catholic Community Mourns Father Maximo Dionisio Tzul Lacan Who Died At 61
The Holy Family Catholic Community in Fond du Lac is deeply saddened to share the news of the passing of our former priest, Fr. Max Tzul, who died yesterday at the age of 61.
Born in Guatemala, Fr. Max answered a profound call to serve, being ordained in 1996 with the Missionary Fraternity of Mary. This commitment led him across the world to wherever he was needed, a path that beautifully brought him to our parish in 2010 as a member of our Priest Team.
For eight years, Fr. Max served Holy Family and our Lord with unwavering gentleness, compassion, and love. He played an instrumental role in nurturing and strengthening our growing Hispanic community, fostering a spirit of inclusivity and faith. He also deepened our parish’s cherished connection to his religious order, the Missionary Fraternity of Mary.

Those who knew Fr. Max will remember his ever-present warmth. Whether celebrating Mass, offering counsel, or sharing joy at a parish festival, he met everyone with a genuine smile and a kind word. He was a shepherd who led with a quiet, joyful heart.
We hold his family, his religious community, and all who loved him in our prayers. While we grieve his loss, we give thanks to God for the gift of his life and his faithful service among us. May his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, rest in eternal peace.
