In Memory of Katie Amelia Burchill of Hereford
A vibrant light was suddenly, and far too soon, extinguished on Tuesday 27th January 2026. Katie Amelia Burchill, a beloved soul of Hereford, was taken from us at the tender age of 42, leaving behind a constellation of shattered hearts and cherished memories.
Katie’s world revolved around her adored daughter, Amelia, and her faithful companion, Benji the dog. She was the cherished and much-loved daughter of Julie and Tony, a dear sister, niece, cousin, and a treasured friend to so many. Her warmth, her laughter, and her generous spirit created ripples of love that touched countless lives, making her absence profoundly felt by all who were fortunate to know her.
To honour Katie’s beautiful and spirited life, a funeral service will be held at Hereford Crematorium on Friday 6th March, commencing at 2.15pm. In a fitting tribute to her lively character, the family kindly requests attendees wear **a touch of green**.
The family have asked for family flowers only. However, for those who wish to pay their respects with a donation, contributions in Katie’s memory are warmly invited for **Lee’s Place**. Though her time with us was heartbreakingly brief, Katie’s love and light will forever be held in the hearts of Amelia, her family, and her many friends. She will be deeply missed, yet always remembered.
