Glenva Parker Death,Canberra Obituary ––Family Mourns Cherished Mother

The Canberra community is united in grief following the passing of Glenva Mary Parker, a devoted wife, mother, daughter, and friend, whose life was tragically cut short on 18 February 2026, just two days after her 49th birthday.

Glenva, beloved wife of Bruce, was the heart of her family. Her love and dedication were the foundation for her three daughters, Isla, Celeste, and Evelyn, who have lost their guiding light. She carried the values of her own family with her, being the loved daughter of Allan and Joan Austin, a cherished sister to Helen, John, and Zillah, and a dear daughter-in-law to John and Anne Parker.

Her sudden departure has created an immeasurable void, not only within her immediate family but also across a wide circle of friends and extended family who will miss her warmth, her spirit, and her unwavering presence. Glenva’s life, though ended too soon, was one marked by deep connections and quiet strength.

A Requiem Mass to celebrate Glenva’s life will be held at St Christopher’s Cathedral, Forrest, on Friday, 27 February 2026, commencing at 1:30pm. For those unable to attend in person, the service will be livestreamed; details are available via the William Cole Funerals website.

As we remember Glenva, we hold close the love she gave so freely and the family she cherished above all else. Her memory will be forever treasured.
