It is with profound sadness that Glenburn MWFC Girls – 2011s – U16s share the passing of our dear friend and original Glenburn MW Girls volunteer, Trudi Thorburn.
Trudi was there from the very beginning, helping to create the foundations of the girls club we’re so proud of today. As our first club secretary and an award‑winning volunteer, she gave so much of herself to coaching, fundraising, organising, and supporting every girl and volunteer who came along. Her daughters, Hannah and Keeley, both played for the club, and her dedication helped shape the path for so many girl players.
Trudi’s impact is still felt in everything the club has become. The spirit, the community, and the opportunities we provide all carry her legacy. She wasn’t just a volunteer; she was a cornerstone, whose warmth and selflessness built a welcoming home for girls’ football in our community.
