Fernando Gallardo,Houston Shop Owner’s Alleged Killer Arrested, Charged with Capital Murder
HOUSTON – An arrest has been made in the fatal shooting of a northwest Houston shop owner this past Saturday, with a 21-year-old man now facing a capital murder charge.
The suspect, identified in Harris County court records as Adan Gracia, is accused of killing 52-year-old Fernando Gallardo during an attempted robbery. The incident occurred at the Daze Elevated shop on North Houston Rosslyn Road.
The crime came to light when a concerned employee, driving by after hours, noticed the store’s “Open” sign was illuminated and Gallardo’s vehicle was missing. Upon entering the business, the employee tragically discovered Gallardo deceased in a back area.

Houston police swiftly located the missing vehicle and conducted a high-risk felony stop. The driver, who authorities say matched the description of a suspect seen on surveillance footage from the scene, was detained. That individual was later identified as Gracia.
Gracia now faces the grave charge of capital murder for Gallardo’s death. According to court documents, his initial appearance in the 179th District Court is scheduled for February 16, 2026, as the judicial process begins. The arrest brings a measure of progress in a case that has shaken the local business community, though it comes with the profound loss of a community member.
