The Quarter Pounder Funny Car team is extremely saddened to announce the passing of our top end guy, Howard Bowers, after a short cancer fight. His loss leaves a quiet space in our pits and a heavy heart in our racing family.
Howard joined our team for the 2025 season, seamlessly taking over left-side duties. In a short time, he became far more than a crew member; he was a vital part of our rhythm and spirit. We shared the grind of the road, the adrenaline of winning rounds, and the simple, irreplaceable fun of the chase. His dedication and steady presence were anchors in our chaotic world.
While the roar of the engine will continue, it will sound different without him. We will miss his focus at the top end, his camaraderie in the hauler, and his shared joy in every victory.
Our focus now shifts entirely to supporting those he loved most. During this profoundly difficult time, our deepest thoughts and prayers are with Howard’s family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him.
